Where to Propose in Bellagio

Bellagio is small, and its most beautiful places are a few minutes apart. These are the ones I love most:

• The gardens of Villa Melzi: lakefront paths, a Moorish pavilion and a lily pond just outside the centre. A walk here is what everyone does in Bellagio, so nobody suspects a thing. The gardens close in the late afternoon and do not allow setups, so this is the place for a natural proposal during a walk.
• The lakeside promenade: boats, pastel facades and the mountains across the water, most beautiful in the evening light.
• The stone stairways: the stepped lanes that climb from the lake, with quiet corners for portraits after the yes.
• Punta Spartivento: the tip of the village, looking out where the lake's three branches meet.
• A private boat: the most private place of all, and the best place for the sunset.
• A villa setting reserved for you: for flowers, privacy and a more elevated atmosphere.

The Best Time to Propose in Bellagio

Bellagio is at its busiest from late morning to late afternoon, when the ferries bring day visitors, especially in summer. For a private moment, choose the early morning, when the lanes are empty and the lake is still, or the evening, when the day visitors have gone and the light turns golden.

Can we book a short proposal session instead of the full day?

Yes. If you would like a short proposal session in Bellagio rather than the full-day experience, with the proposal and engagement portraits right after the yes, sessions start from €1,000 per hour. Write to me with your date.

Is all the planning included?

Yes. I plan the idea, the timing, the route, the boat, the villa setting, the flowers, the proposal moment and the restaurant with you, so the day feels effortless for you and natural for your partner.

How long is the experience?

It is a full day. The exact schedule depends on the route, the boat timing, the proposal moment, the portraits and the restaurant.

Is a private boat included?

Yes. The boat is part of the day, for your arrival, for portraits and film on the water, or as a beautiful way to move between places.

Is the villa reserved for us?

Yes. A private villa setting is included, depending on availability, the season and each villa's rules. I confirm it with you when we plan.

Can we propose in the gardens of Villa Melzi?

Yes, as a natural proposal during a walk. The gardens close in the late afternoon and do not allow setups or drones, so we plan the moment in the gardens earlier in the day and keep the flowers for the villa setting and the sunset for the boat.

Is video included?

Yes. My husband and I photograph and film the day together, and you receive a 3-minute cinematic highlight film of your Bellagio proposal.

How many photographs do we receive?

We always work for the result, not the clock. You receive around 300 edited photographs: the proposal, your portraits, the ring, the flowers, the boat and the celebration.

What happens if it rains?

We adjust the timing, the route or the place: covered corners, a better light window or a different boat plan, so the day stays as beautiful as plan A.
